NDYNAMICS Joins APC Reliability Provider Program

SAN JOSE, Calif. (July 1, 2001) - NDYNAMICS, the number ONE source for network professionals, has joined the Reliability Provider Program at American Power Corporation (APC). APC is a leading vendor of power protection and power backup products such as surge protectors and Universal Power Systems (UPS's). As a Reliability Provider, NDYNAMICS can offer customers the entire APC product line, including Matrix, Symmetra and Silcon for server rooms and data centers.

APC products cover a wide range of system requirements, from simple desktop surge suppression to complete data center applications. In addition to power protection devices, APC also offers remote management and reboot equipment.

"We advise our customers to install APC protection products on every computer, printer, fax machine, and network device in their building," says Rick Dexter, President of NDYNAMICS. "It's so much easier and cheaper to replace a burned out surge strip than a more expensive piece of equipment." APC UPS systems are commonly installed on file servers and other major network equipment, but can also be implemented on desktops and laptops, often giving a user time to save their work after a power failure. The amount of time lost to power failures can often justify the expense of a UPS on every computer system.

APC is also one of the only companies that offer insurance on equipment attached to it's power protection devices. "If a file server or desktop is damaged due to a power event that is significant enough to make it through APC protection, APC will replace the damaged equipment for free" says Dexter.

In addition, the remote power management devices that APC offers can be configured to allow support technicians to remotely reboot equipment without having to make an onsite visit. "This allows us to get our customer networks back up quickly after a problem, and also allows us to deal with some issues in the middle of the night before the customer even gets to work the next morning," says Dexter.
